Explore your local area

Discover your local playground on this spectacular coastal hike, finding places you never knew existed! We will meet in Coogee, and find all sorts of amazing places on the way to Malabar Headland National Park. We will return to Coogee in the afternoon for pick-up. 

Have fun with your friends

We will make sure the day is action packed with fun games and activities so you go home tired, but inspired. 

Learn navigation skills

We will teach you some basic navigation skills using a map and compass so you can lead your parents on their next adventure!

Discover the coastal heathland

You will discover some of the endemic species of your local area by learning about some key identifying features. 

Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch

We supply a fresh and delicious lunch that will be eaten along the way, plus morning and afternoon tea. All dietary requirements are catered for.

Age Range

9 – 13 year old girls and boys. Please get in contact if your child or a sibling is not in this age range.

Timing
  • Drop off at 9am at Grant Reserve, Coogee (via Neptune St, near entrance to Wylie’s Baths)
  • Pick up at 4.00pm in the same location

  • This trip is suitable for children between 9 – 13 years old. Please get in touch if you have a younger or older child or sibling to discuss suitability.
    Helen Cooper (owner of Primal Adventures, qualified Secondary School Teacher, Cert IV in Outdoor Recreation, Wilderness 1st Aid, Current Working with Children Check) will be leading the trip, assisted by another suitably experienced and qualified leader.
    This trip is suitable for children with an average fitness level. We will be participating in a hike of approximately 15kms, so the higher their level of fitness, the more enjoyable the experience will be. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns.
