Enjoy an incredible morning outdoors as you discover some hidden treasures of the Eastern Beaches. Hike to hidden caves, along unique rock platforms, hopefully discover buried treasure on this mini-adventure. Have a fun-filled morning out, deepen your connection with your family, and meet other Cranbrook families amongst Sydney's beautiful bushland.

Explore your local area

Discover your local area on this spectacular coastal mini-adventure, finding places you never knew existed! We will meet in La Perouse, give you some instructions, and find all sorts of amazing places on the way through Botany Kamay National Park. We will return to the same location at the end where a delicious picnic lunch awaits.

Have fun with friends and family

We will make sure the morning is action packed with fun games and activities so you go home connected and inspired. 

Learn new skills

We will teach some basic navigation skills at the start so the kids can lead the parents – hopefully in the right direction!

Discover the coastal heathland

You will discover some of the endemic coastal heathland species by learning about some key identifying features. 

Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch

We supply a snack at the beginning, plus a fresh and delicious lunch that will be provided at the end.

Timing
  • Arrive 9.30am at Macquarie Watchtower, Anzac Pde Loop, La Perouse (see map below)
  • Finish approx 12pm in the same location
  • There is a range of parking areas, but it may require a short walk from your car.

  • This trip is suitable for adults and children with average fitness levels. We will be participating in a hike of approximately 8-10kms, over uneven terrain. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns.
    This trip is suitable for adults and accompanying children between 8 – 18 years old. Please get in touch if you have a younger or older child or sibling to discuss suitability.
    Helen Cooper (owner of Primal Adventures, qualified Secondary School Teacher, Cert IV in Outdoor Recreation, Wilderness 1st Aid, Current Working with Children Check) will be leading the trip, assisted by additional suitably experienced and qualified leaders at a ratio of 1:25.
