Then come and join us for our inaugural Primal Kids Adventure in the September/October school holidays. We’re going to be doing a whole range of adventurous activities over 4 days and 1 night, in parts of the Greater Sydney region that you may not have ever even heard of. So blow off all those same old activity programs that you’ve been to a thousand times, get out of the neighbourhood and come and have some fun. This is for all the kids like you who dream of adventures to far away places…..
Dates: Monday 30th September to Thursday 3rd October 2019
Activities: Kayaking, canyoning, camping out, rockhopping, orienteering, scavenger hunt & tons more…
Food: All meals & snacks during the program, including any dietary requirements.
Max group size: 16 people from school years 5, 6 & 7. Please enquire about suitability if slightly out of this age bracket
Leaders: 2 Primal Adventures Leaders, plus activity specialists.
Investment: $795 per person. Please contact us to discuss the possibility of family discounts. A $300 pp deposit is required at time of booking.
We will be heading off to a different location each day to do a new and exciting activity. This is happening over 4 days, with one night camping out. There will also be lots of other fun and interesting things to do along the way as well.
Challenge yourself as you abseil 30m into the impressive Empress Canyon in the Blue Mountains. Explore some off the beaten track sections of the Valley of the Waters.
We’ll kayak from Berowra Waters to Crosslands Reserve. When we get there, we’ll find our way around an orienteering course using maps and compasses. After lunch we’ll paddle back to Berowra Waters
Explore historic Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbour, and find treasure hidden in places you never knew existed!
Camp out for a night in Glenbrook National Park, enjoying a delicious campfire meal & maybe even marshmallows!
Explore narrow Glenbrook Gorge, skipping over rocks and boulders. Relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery, and have a refreshing dip in the waterhole.
Pick-up and drop-off each day at designated locations in Private Landcruiser and Mini Bus
Morning tea, Lunch & afternoon tea each day. Healthy, fresh food, all dietary requirements catered for.
Bush cook at camp (dinner and breakfast)

GUIDES AND SAFETY
Helen Cooper (owner of Primal Adventures, qualified Secondary School Teacher, Cert IV in Outdoor Rec, Wilderness 1st Aid, WWCC) will be leading the trip, assisted by another experienced guide with similar qualifications.
Specialist Activity Providers will be leading Canyoning and Kayaking activities, accompanied by Primal Adventures Guides.
WHAT TO bring
We will provide a detailed list of what to bring each day prior to the trip. It’s just a normal list that you would expect for day programs, plus a sleeping bag for the overnight camp.
All meals are included in the price. The food is based on nutritious, healthy, wholefood recipes. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements.

A deposit of $300 per person is required to secure your place.
Full payment is required 6 weeks before the start date of your adventure.
More than 20 days prior to departure – 70% refund of full ticket price
20 to 10 days prior to departure – 50% refund of full ticket price
Less than 10 days prior to departure – NO REFUND
Deposits are not refunded.
There are no refunds or fee reductions for not attending part or all of the program
When you book you must notify us of any medical condition, medical history, or medications that you are on. In particular, asthma, diabetes, heart conditions, allergies to wasp/ bee stings and food allergies. We will send out our online medical form prior to the trip.
With any outdoor activity, there is an element of risk. Primal Adventures operates in remote and mountainous areas. Risks in undertaking this activity could include hypothermia due to adverse weather conditions, personal injury, or property damage from participating in activities over rugged and uneven terrain.
The staff and management of Primal Adventures take all practicable steps to identify and minimise potential dangers. Risk assessments are conducted for all activities, and are available for viewing on request. Participants must follow the instructions of the guide and/or activity leader (and use the safety equipment provided) at all times. Failure to follow instructions may require a parent to pick up their child from the activity location, or the child may be excluded from that activity if in the opinion of the guide or operator that child may be likely to risk the health, safety or comfort (including unsociable behaviour) of other clients, themself, or the environment. In such circumstances Primal Adventures will not be obliged to offer any refund or transfer of ticket. Parents must release or indemnify Primal Adventures and our staff against any liability we incur to anyone else, resulting from your child’s failure to follow instructions.
Primal Adventures and their guides reserve the right to make any alterations to the itinerary in the interest of safety, comfort or unforeseen circumstances due to causes such as weather, illness, or misadventure. Every reasonable endeavour will be made to keep to published schedules but no guarantee is given. Primal Adventures will not be held liable for costs incurred by change, delay, or the missing of connecting services. Parents will be notified in advance if any unforeseen delays arise with regards to drop-off or pick up times.
A fee of $10 per 5 minutes will be charged for any late drop-offs or pick ups by parents or carers, other than in the event of an emergency.
